Warning if your not into alpha males with a lot of chauvinist actions or you get offend with certain dominating and not always correct in the sense of today's world, such as using the word rape or abduction, I wouldn't read this book. But on the other hand if your into strong males with lots of passion and all the money in the world to make their woman happy then you will love this book. It basically depends on what you like personally. Take a chance!
I was not sure how I felt about this at first. I liked the thought process of the story. I didn't like the brand name dropping and constant wardrobe changes, but I guess if you are rich these brands would appeal to you. I found Derek to be a very big jerk, but at the same time Julian could be too. Eventually I just stopped paying attention to reading the names of the clothes and the various drinks. If you skip this stuff the story is quite entertaining. I will read the next two books to see how it all ends. The point of a story to me is to transport yourself away from reality...I was.
Sorry just couldn't get behind the main characters. I just could not connect with the characters enough to care, there was really no spice, none of that something that a good book does to suck you and make you forget time and space. Honestly the majority of the book read like a day planner every chapter she woke up got up took a shower got dressed went to her appointments came home changed and went out again, it did change up some towards the end when she was captured to she woke up had breakfast and painted. The second guys point of view on "what it is to be alpha" was too long and I really just did not see anything like a sense of humor, sassiness, spunkiness about Cheryl that made me understand what either of these guys saw in her.

Cheryl herself is a wonderfully written character, beautiful, strong, likeable, independent and successful in so many ways, but also a typical woman with insecurities. Julian and her have some serious attraction and incredible chemistry which made all their scenes sizzle whether it be from the banter or the steamy sex. Charlotte Rose does a tremendous job allowing her readers into the rollercoaster of dark emotions and the mindset of Cheryl as she finds her way to trust Julian’s love. It took her awhile to open her eyes to what was right in front of her and allow herself to love. I was completely drawn into her journey and rooting for her to find her happiness. I'm trying not to give spoilers and ruin the story with all its twists and plotting, but I can say it was so much fun to read. It kept my absolute attention from start to finish and I ended the book with a smile on my face. I'm looking forward to the future books in The Trophy Wife series.
I really loved this book, I really admire the creative aspects of it also. I really can't wait for book to to be released because I'm sure it will be just as good as the first. I've read the other reviews and in my opinion the book is exactly as the title described and much more. It captures the chauvinistic, and monopolistic sides of each character and puts spins and turns all over.
If a person cannot handle the raw break down of this book as the title suggest then don't read it. Then again that is just my opinion.
After reading book 2 on the recommendation of a good friend, I enjoyed it so much I had to go back and try book one. (My GF let me know not to worry about the negative reviews, as she had received an update from telling her the author had corrected the concerns brought up by the previous reviewers.)
I'm sure glad Rose listened to what her readers had to say because I found Abducted to be outstanding. I freaking loved this story, especially since I knew how things had played out in the next book in the series.
In this story we're introduced to Cheryl and her fiance Derek, a billionaire with exquisite tastes and a fierce possessive streak. Typical alpha. Soon we meet Julian, the suave and sophisticated billionaire who knows what he wants, and if he can't buy it - he takes it. The triangle that develops between these three is fascinating and I found I was able to move through the story quickly, enjoying every moment.
